Thanks for the reminder and encouragement for all of us to be real and honest with ourselves, with others, and especially with our Godrmphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07946852510294894255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4400013362999368442.post-73545307118041996532015-03-09T23:47:32.809-07:002015-03-09T23:47:32.809-07:00There is no such thing as a perfect person, period...There is no such thing as a perfect person, period. Memories are being made every day and the kids will soon be grown and gone, and they are learning how to treat my future grandchildren so I keep things light. Besides, the ones who seem perfect are the furthest thing from it. The one who blathers on about never saying a cussword, actually drinks every night until passing out, and the overly obsessive "a place for everything and everything in its place" one freaks me the heck out and is overcompensating for something, either past or present. Kind of reminds me of that country song from the 70's called "Harper Valley PTA."<br /><br />I had to laugh at the candy for breakfast thing. Although we have not done that (well maybe the day after Halloween!), we have definintely had chocolate cupcakes for breakfast. I would say more but it is after 2:30 am and I have to get a pie out of the oven. Lastly, legos are evil. They hurt the feet, which is why the ones that used to be here mysteriously disappeared one fateful night after yours truly stepped on yet another one. And if we think...No such person as perfect mama.... And if we think that a mama who happens to have a perfectly clean home is a perfect mama, then what we are really, most likely feeling is guilt because our own home isn't as clean as we'd like.... Drop the guilt, drop the comparison, do what you can do in a day, don't give up..but get up, always move...be it cleaning, organizing or better than that, playing with the kiddos! Been judged by those closest to me during one of the most difficult times in my journey and not one of those people offered me help....not even to keep the kids, sot hat I could have an hour! (And I can get massive amounts done in an hour). I don't judge a mother by her appearance or her home...whether it be clean or a mess! But I guarantee you that if I come over and you have dishes or laundry, I am wiling to offer to do them for you...and have done so many times! I, also, find my way to the toy room/area and help my kids put away whatever is on the floor. I love motherhood and I love mamas. Support. Encourage. Do NOT compare. It's funny though - you've always been one of those perfect moms that intimidates me. :P Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01228870358624003971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4400013362999368442.post-15960384257792423992014-10-02T02:38:42.316-07:002014-10-02T02:38:42.316-07:00THANKS!THANKS!Aritha V. https://www.blogger.com/profile/05246873990952078356noreply@blogger.com
